Erin McNeilly, PA

Erin graduated from Cornell University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development with a concentration in neuropsychology. While obtaining her undergraduate degree she was a member of the Cornell Big Red Marching Band and Pep Band. She continued her education at New York Institute of Technology, graduating in 2006 with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She achieved the Academic Achievement Award for her graduating class and became board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She began her career on Long Island at Winthrop University Hospital in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department. She worked there for 10 years, achieving the title of Senior Physician Assistant in her department. She then moved to London, England in 2016 to participate in the National Physician Associate Expansion Program in the NHS England hospital system. She worked at Northwick Park Hospital in London for 2 years. She was based in the Vascular Surgery Department, and also advocated for PAs throughout the hospital demonstrating how a PA could be utilized in different departments. She also pursued her passion for travel while living abroad – traveling to destinations such as Italy, Norway, and Abu Dhabi. She returned home to the Jersey Shore in 2018 and joined the Cardiac Surgery Department at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She joined the Neurology Center for Epilepsy and Seizures in 2022, returning to her original academic interest in neurology and psychology.
